I hate to be this person, but I think most of you big fans out there like the show for all of the wrong reasons. This is why so many people get annoyed at the fandom. I see so much of TEH YAOI and seriousness of all of these fans. This is a show that is not meant to be taken seriously.

I never really told anyone this but at Taiyou con, I was at the screening of the 3rd season before it came out on DVD. I was having a grand ol time when all of a sudden my boyfriend mentioned that Germaina reminded him of Thor. I laughed and agreed with him thinking it was all fun and games. All of a sudden this pirate France cosplayer turns around and says, "NO HE DOESN'T!" "WHY WOULD YOU COMPARE A HETALIA CHARACTER TO THOR???" I was really pissed that she had to make a scene and be a total bitch while everyone else was having a good time. Luckily, my new America friend and some cosplayers behind me backed me up. It was this particular instance that I began to notice that a lot of the fandom likes the idea of Hetalia, not the content.

I like it for the crude humor and the stereotypes of our world. It is meant to be funny and to joke around with. I get the yaoi thing because a lot of it is implied, but good lord people! Is that all we have to focus on?

I have noticed that a lot of fans are like, 12? THIS IS A MATURE SHOW AND YOUNG-INS LIKE THAT DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE SHOW IS MAKING FUN OF! I think they only like it for the cutesy art and the cutesy songs.

Also, at the ask a nation panel at Taiyou, I was really disappointed. Not at the cast, but at the questions. They were juvenile and unfunny. I also spotted younger people in the audience that had like ADD or something. WHERE ARE THEIR PARENTS??? The questions were either, "CAN I HAZ A HUG?" or "OMG AMERICA! WHO IZ YR TRUE LOVE?".....LAME! I dunno, Saboten's ask a nation panel was hilarious. My BF and I were hysterical the whole time.

My point is, Hetalia fans, stop being so serious and like the show for what it was meant to do....MAKE YOU RACIST....I MEAN HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!! I have had this bottled up for awhile when I had been getting blurbs from fellow friends about the fandom. One friend of mine said she dislikes the madness of cons and partiality blames Hetalia fans. She said the last con she went too, THEY WERE THROWING SHIT! Really guys? You want to be known as the next Narutards? Act your age plz.

Meh, I just wanted to rant. I really don't want to hate my own fandom. I love Hetalia and I want people to like it for what it is. Trolling History.
